CASE STUDIES
Net4Call is acquired by Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL)
Net4Call provides telecom infrastructure software that enables rapid development and deployment of new telecom services for fixed and mobile telecom operators. Net4Call's board had determined that the market opportunity was larger than the company could fully address as an independent company, and that their optimal strategic value would be realized if the company became part of a larger company already serving global telecom operators.
Intelligent Capital implemented a structured process to position the company and identify and communicate with senior management at qualified potential acquirers. These included companies in telecom hardware, telecom software, and application server software sectors throughout the world.
The value in the company, in our assessment, included: (1) the core technology based on the open Parlay/OSA standard, (2) the highly modular SLEE (Service Logic Execution Environment) architecture that augments standard application servers, and (3) a well established technology team with solid relationships with top-tier telecom vendors such as Ericsson.
At the conclusion of our process, Net4Call was acquired by Oracle and is now a key component of their telecom service delivery platform. The sale resulted in greater than ten times return on investment to its investors.
Intelligent Capital, Inc. was Net4Call's exclusive advisor on the sale to Oracle.
