Organization - Unlike the larger financing-oriented firms, which tend to be organized around separate research and transaction functions, Intelligent Capital is structured in such a way that the people working on each project have strong backgrounds in both the client's business & technology and in relevant transaction execution. This focus enables us to be more effective than the larger, broader based firms. Location - Even on those projects where both our client and the partner company are located outside of the United States, we find that the San Francisco Bay Area/ Silicon Valley tends to be a "hub" of activity for the technology sector, and our location here enables us to communicate easily and effectively with most of the parties relevant to the situation. Timing - We generally encourage potential clients to talk with us early in their development process. There can be differences in importance between functions within the company depending on the anticipated future growth vector, and we can provide insight to the board or management on some of the opportunities and pitfalls that exist.
